Jody Hansen-Walker has been with Adoption S.T.A.R. since its inception. Jody and her husband have been long time foster parents and adoptive parents. In addition to her work at Adoption S.T.A.R., Jody also works as a family support specialist working with children who have attachment issues.

Jody is staff liaison to CAFFA (Coalition of Adoptive and Foster Family Agencies) serving on several CAFFA committees. In addition Jody handles the medical insurance associated with birth mothers and adoptive families. Jody also offers support for after-hour adoption work and provides guidance with parenting and adoption issues.

Jody states that what she loves most about Adoption S.T.A.R. is, "Our Birthmothers! This is a very bittersweet job. You deal with 'raw emotions' from all sides, but at the end of the day, I look forward to seeing what tomorrow brings."
