Love the Children of Rochester is a non-profit organization that was created primarily to reach out and connect Korean adoptive families and adoptees, to sponsor cultural education programs for its members, and to respond to the needs of children of Korean heritage.

They have invited EVERYONE – local adoptive families, Korean-American families, Heart and Seoul Camp host families and camp participants, Camp Chin Gu families and volunteers, community members, Korean churches, Korean businesses, and anyone else that may be interested – to a picnic they’re hosting.

The picnic is on Tuesday, July 14th (tomorrow) at Center Park (Perinton, Ayrault Road) from 4pm to 8pm.

The picnic is held in celebration of the volunteer work of the SIWA college students, a group from Sookmyung Women’s University. These students travel to the USA each summer and help run Korean camps in Albany and Rochester. They will be travelling back to Korea the day after the picnic.

Love the Children of Rochester will be providing meat, rolls, and drinks (water and juice). Scoops Ice Cream Truck will be attending the event, so please bring along some cash if you’d like to purchase ice cream. Attendees are asked to RSVP and sign up to bring a dish to pass.
