Arrange a Training

Adoption STAR can assist you by arranging training opportunities for you and your co-workers. We provide trainings throughout the State of New York, Florida and Ohio ~ and we will come to you!

Adoption STAR is the Lead Agency in NYS for the Infant Adoption Awareness Training Project (IAATP), a grant provided through the U.S. Department of Health and provides half day and full day training opportunities for health care professionals who work with pregnant women and teenagers. Continuing education credits are available. This is a creative and interactive educational opportunity that should not be missed.

Adoption STAR conducts educational training sessions on all aspects of adoption, parenting, and other related issues. These sessions are often prepared for physicians, nurses, social workers, educators, and other professionals, community leaders, students, and support groups, as well as adoptive families, birth families, and adoptees. Adoption STAR speaks to students of all ages from pre-school through University and their teachers. Adoption STAR loves to assist educators with how adoption education can be included in the school curriculum.

The agency has also developed a resource library on adoption and related topics and is open for you to take the time to browse and borrow. In addition, our staff would be happy to weed through material with you, identify specific resources that may be beneficial for you or your patients/clients/students, etc.
