Glenn, Kelly and Daniel

Glenn, Kelly & Daniel

CONGRATULATIONS Glenn and Kelly and big brother Daniel on the arrival of Michael!

First of all, we want to thank you for considering adoption.

Our prayers are with you as you try to sort out the range of emotions you are experiencing. Our names are Kelly, Glenn, and Daniel, and we are very excited that you have decided to learn more about us.

In 2004, we were blessed with our son, Daniel. We conceived him with the help of fertility treatments. After years of more fertility treatments and a heartbreaking miscarriage, we have been unsuccessful to give Daniel a sibling. We are hopeful we will be chosen for a baby to come into our lives and be a wonderful addition to our family.

We love being parents to Daniel and are totally committed to raising our family. Our dog Zoey has also added an element of joy to our household. We enjoy a home that is full of love and laughter.

Both our families are very close and are often together. We share the holiday’s together at Glenn’s parent’s house. Most of our family members are in the area, therefore, we have the privilege to be with them quite often. One of Glenn’s sisters and her family live in Virginia, but we are fortunate to still see them often. Kelly’s family has a reunion annually at one of the local town parks.

Our son, Daniel is four years old. He has eight cousins that are close to his age. We have a two year old dog named Zoey. Danny also loves to read, go to the library for story time and crafts, play in the yard, and practice his swimming and soccer. Danny is happy and loving and is very excited about becoming a big brother.

We met about 15 years ago while working at the same company. We became good friends and had a lot of fun together. Glenn left the company to pursue his dream of becoming a teacher and we lost touch for a while. As fate would have it, we ran into each other several years later. We started dating and were married in 2003.

Kelly was a member of the National Honors Society in High School. She also was on the water ballet team, and a girl scout for ten years. Later her job as a mortgage accountant required travel. Glenn holds a bachelor degree in history and two Masters degrees in education. He now teaches Social Studies in a high school. We both agree that education for our children is extremely important and will encourage them to be successful in their educational careers. We love giving Daniel opportunities to experience new things and to have fun.

We live in a beautiful brick home in the suburbs with a large fenced in yard. We have built an addition on the second floor, adding a bedroom for another child. Kelly is the third generation of her family to live in the house. Some of the neighbors have known her since she was born. They are now enjoying watching yet another generation, (Daniel), play in the yard and go for walks around the neighborhood. Our street is quiet. Our neighborhood is safe with excellent schooling and activities for children.

As a family, we enjoy our holiday traditions very much. The opportunity to be near friends and family is something we enjoy and to which we look forward. Our son, Daniel has many cousins that he loves and looks toward time spent playing with them. Christmas and Thanksgiving are especially fun times as our families come together for a delicious holiday meal at Nana and Papa’s house. It has become a tradition of our immediate family to take a week long camping trip to the Adirondacks.

Recently Kelly ended a career as an accountant at a mortgage company to stay home as a full time mom. This decision was something we both agreed would be the most beneficial situation for raising our children. Kelly considers herself very fortunate that she is able to be with Daniel. Glenn continues to teach social studies in a high school and has been doing so for 10 years. His background in education has helped him develop the belief that education is fundamental to raising children. Kelly also embraces this idea and is eager to work as a vital role in her children’s education.

We are also very fortunate to have many friendships. We have become God-parents to our friend’s children, and have had our friends become God-parents to our child. They are true and loving friends who support our decision to adopt and are very excited for us.

We share similar ideas about family life, which have made us compatible. We are both Christians and plan to raise our children with a healthy outlook on Christianity. We do not believe a religion should be something that divides people. Rather, it should provide the tools necessary to bring people together.

In the warmer months we walk to the playground, go to the amusements parks, swim, go to the zoo, and take our camper to Allegany State Park or the Adirondacks. When it is cooler outside, we enjoy going to the museum, taking indoor-swimming lessons, weekend cabin get-a-ways, sledding, and playing in the snow.

We are hopeful we will be chosen for a baby to come into our lives and be a wonderful addition to our family. Thank you for taking the time to read about us. We hope you consider us as your baby’s adoptive parents. As adoptive parents, we will make sure your baby will grow to know the love and sacrifices you have made. Perhaps you will be that miracle that is intended for us to complete our family.
