Melissa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is based out of New York City and Westchester and is employed on a per-diem basis with Adoption STAR.

Melissa is a native of Western New York and obtained her Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Niagara University and Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University.

Melissa has diverse clinical experience working in the field of child welfare including preventive and foster care, forensics and behavioral health. Melissa has most enjoyed her work with children and their families and is passionate about this work.

Adoption holds a special place in Melissa’s heart as members of her family have begun the adoption process and are all looking forward to their new addition!

When Melissa is not working, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and the many exciting things NYC has to offer!
