Moira Stewart, LCSW
Adoption Social Worker
Moira is a licensed clinical social worker who received her undergraduate degree in psychology from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY. She went on to complete her masters in social work from the State University at Buffalo. From there, Moira began her clinical career working with children and adolescents, and their parents, at Child and Adolescent Treatment Services in Lancaster, NY. Following this, Moira spent the next six years working with preschoolers with special needs and their parents, at early childhood programs in Buffalo and Rochester.
After taking time off to raise her children, Moira began working in the Therapeutic Visitation Program at SPCC (Society for the Protection and Care of Children). She is currently doing per diem work for this program.
Moira was born and raised in Buffalo, and currently lives in Rochester, NY with her husband and two children. Her passion and focus has always been working with children and families to promote positive and healthy relationships within the home. Moira is excited to be a part of the Adoption Star family and to help facilitate the adoption process for parents who have opened their hearts to bring a child home.
