Is International Adoption For You? Workshop

world-globe01-512x512Have you ever heard found yourself wondering about International Adoption? Is there is a child already born who is waiting for you in another part of the world?

When you begin to explore the idea of adopting a child, it is important to explore all of the options that are available to you. As you start to do this it is easy to quickly become overwhelmed with information, questions and decisions. There are many factors that must be considered: cost, wait time, children available, medical and social history and legal concerns.

Over the years the image of International Adoption has changed, as have the regulations and most recently the United States government has implemented the Universal Accreditation Act and Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Cooperation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption with the intention of providing additional protection for all parties to international adoption: adoptive children and their families by birth and adoption.

Adoption STAR, a Hague Accredited agency, is pleased to provide answers to your initial questions and help you to get an understanding of what International Adoption would look like for your family.

Adoption STAR has placement programs for families interested in adopting from Bulgaria or Hungary. We also provide home study services to families adopting through other accredited agencies who work in countries that we do not.

We would like to help you sort through the information so you have a clearer view of the options available to you. We can answer your questions about International Adoption and help you to discover if your child could be waiting for you in another part of the world.
