Adoption STAR’s Adoptive Parent Social Worker and Family Advocate Rachael Metz and Adoptive Parent Mentor Sue Reardon are off to NYC for a special gathering of Adoption STAR families.
We have a strong (and GROWING) number of adoptive families in an around the New York City metropolitan area. As a result, we always like to put a few items on the agency calendar that are held in the city and readily accessible for agency clients that happen to reside in the geographic region.
Tomorrow’s event is a great example of this. Adoption STAR will be hosting “Picnic in the Park,” an event for adoptive families of Adoption STAR, from 12:00pm to 3:00pm at Sheep Meadow in Central Park. Families are invited to join in the fun by gathering with Sue and Rachael for a picnic lunch, lawn games, and socialization with other Adoption STAR families. We’re excited to report that we have about 50 folks that have already RSVP’d!
