Everyone at the agency is looking forward to seeing hundreds of Adoption STAR clients (and, of course, their children) at our upcoming summer event!
While it’s hard to believe, August is right around the corner…..and that means so is one of our favorite events of the year – the agency’s annual summer picnic for Adoption STAR adoptive families.
The picnic itself is just a little bit over two weeks away, and while many families have already RSVP’d, we’d like to encourage many more of you to do so as soon as possible. Simply call Development Associate Kristin Ackerman at 716-639-3900 or e-mail her at [email protected] to let her know you’ll be in attendance. If you or anyone you know might be interested in volunteering at the picnic, Kristin is still looking for folks to assist with grilling, children’s activities, set up and tear down. We’re very excited to have the Nimals returning to perform at the picnic this year. The Nimals are a local theater troupe, and they will be performing a puppet show at the picnic, starting at 2:00 pm. Please visit the Nimals website to watch videos of some of their awesome performances.
Adoption STAR clients from near and far look forward to attending this picnic each and every year, so whether it’s your first time or your tenth, we welcome your participation. The picnic is a great way to network with other adoptive families, catch up with old friends from your home study class, and visit with agency staff (who will all be in attendance at the event). Waiting families are encouraged to attend the picnic as well.
