Don’t Miss Next Month’s Newborn/Infant Care Class

Our agency’s prospective adoptive parents are encouraged to attend this valuable class.

swaddled-baby-2Adoption STAR has developed some very strong relationships with colleges and universities over the years, and our partnership with Amherst, New York-based Daemen College is a fine example of this.

Twice a year, Daemen College’s nursing department assigns a group of students to work cooperatively with Adoption STAR to deliver a class on newborn/infant care. The nursing students in question are already practicing nurses that are attending Daemen to secure an additional nursing degree. The students bring both knowledge and enthusiasm to the class, which makes for a practical and informative presentation.

The newborn/infant care class will transpire on Monday, April 18th from 6pm to 8pm at Adoption STAR’s main office (131 John Muir Drive, Amherst, NY 14228). The class is only available to Adoption STAR clients. Attendees can receive 5 educational credits towards the agency-required 40 educational credits that prospective adoptive parents must attain prior to child placement. Topics of discussion may include diapering, swaddling, feeding, vaccination schedules, safe sleeping, hair/skin care, and more.

To RSVP for the class, please call us at 716-639-3900 or e-mail us at info@adoptionstar.com.
