The American Academy of Pediatrics announced on March 20, 2013 in a new policy statement supporting the rights of the gay and lesbian couples to marry as well as to adopt. Click here to read the new policy statement.
Dr. Benjamin S. Siegel, professor of pediatrics and psychiatry at Boston University School of Medicine and co-author of the policy statement, stated. “Research shows children thrive when there are two parents who love them and can provide a nurturing environment for them, and that sexual orientation makes no difference.” (http://news.yahoo.com/u-pediatricians-back-gay-marriage-adoption-rights-171306524.html)
