Adoption STAR is happy to introduce Kristin Ackerman, who joined our staff as Development Associate. Kristin will be part of the Marketing and Development team under the supervision of Associate Director, Michael Hill.
As a development Associate, Kristin will be assisting with special events, fundraising and public relations and community engagement. Kristin is spearheading the “Family Tree” project for the agency’s new location in Amherst, NY.
Kristin has an Associates’ Degree in Business from Erie Community College and has great experience in the Human Resource field. She is a member of SHRM and BNHRA.
For the past four years Kristin has managed a very successful 5K race in Lancaster, NY, and has also competed in several marathons and triathlons.
She enjoys cooking, reading, swimming, cycling and running. She completed her first ironman in Lake Placed, New York in July 2012.
