For those who have not seen our new staff bio pages, we have recently added introduction videos for the staff members. I’d like to take the opportunity over the next few weeks to feature a different staff member on the blog.
This week’s featured staff member is Sue Shaw, who is the Birth Parent Specialist at Adoption STAR.
Favorite food: French fries with gravy and mozzarella.
Favorite Movie/TV Show: Valley Girl, The Wedding Singer, Hope Floats.
Favorite band growing up: “Bay City Rollers, when I was real young. They were my first concert when I was 5. In high school it was Duran Duran and Depeche Mode. In college it was Warrant.
Favorite band today: “Warrant and Kiss. My all time favorite singer is Sammy Hagar.”
Favorite aspect of working in adoption: “I love seeing great open adoptions between birth parents and adoptive parents. When I see adoptive parents going above and beyond the designated visits, it warms my heart.”
