For several years now, Adoption STAR has had the opportunity to run a newborn/infant care class at our headquarters in Amherst, New York. The class, which is exclusively for Adoption STAR clients, is historically very well attended.

All parents (especially first time parents) want to have a level of comfort and confidence when it comes to caring for their newborn. As a result, we’re proud to offer this class; it’s bound to be of benefit to all attendees, regardless of their experience (or lack thereof) in caring for a newborn baby.

In the past we had offered the class only once per year. However, due to its popularity, we’ve added a second class for 2015. Please consider joining us on Monday, November 9th from 6pm to 8pm at our office (131 John Muir Drive, Amherst, NY 14228). The class will be facilitated by a group of practicing nurses that are currently pursuing an additional nursing degree at Daemen College. Attendees can receive 5 educational credits as a result of attending this class. Topics for discussion may include diapering, swaddling, bathing, hair/skin care, vaccinations, and more. Practical information will be offered and questions are welcome and encouraged. To RSVP for the class, please call us at 716-639-3900 or e-mail us at info@adoptionstar.com.

Getting ready for baby’s arrival in a variety of different ways in encouraged when you’re a prospective adoptive family that’s waiting to be matched. Attending this class is just one example of a practical way to make good use of the wait by preparing for parenthood.
