Adoption STAR Founder/CEO Michele Fried congratulates agency staff member Lori Craig, who celebrates ten years of employment with Adoption STAR today.
It was December 2005 and we were close to making a decision on an office manager position, yet I was just feeling unsure. I went back to the resumes of candidates I did not previously interview and the one I kept returning to was from someone who was out of the workforce for 20 years due to being a stay at home parent. Should I take the time to learn more?
Her questionnaire and presentation on paper kept drawing me back in. So I called her. I was convinced to arrange an interview and ten years ago we sat together in the boardroom of our 47 Plaza Drive office. What I expected to be a simple interview turned into two women talking for hours. It was obvious to both of us that a match had been made.
Lori Craig knew nothing about adoption. But she loved what she heard. Her work ethic and passion for Adoption STAR has made her the adoption professional she is today. She rose from her original position to become a member of the executive department, where she currently holds the position of Executive Administrator.
Lori is an integral part of this organization. She is a true believer and supporter of Adoption STAR. Personally, Lori is my fine print reader, my cheerleader, my go to person, my colleague and my friend.
