We hope you’ll consider volunteering your time or making a financial gift to Adoption STAR in honor of Giving Tuesday.
Last year was the first year Adoption STAR acknowledged Giving Tuesday, and we’re happy to be participating in the initiative again in 2015. If you’re not familiar with the concept of Giving Tuesday, here’s some “inside information” directly from www.givingtuesday.org):
“We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
It’s a simple idea. Just find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to come together to give something more. Then tell everyone you can about how you are giving. Join us and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity.”
There are two Giving Tuesday options for individuals that are interested in supporting Adoption STAR:
1. Make a financial contribution to our agency! This can be done easily and quickly via our website. Please visit this section: http://adoptionstar.com/donate/
As you’ll see when you read over the web page, you can make a donation via a credit card or mail us a check. Please put “Giving Tuesday 2014” in the memo section of your check if that’s your preferred method of payment.
2. Sign up to become an Adoption STAR volunteer! We have several great ways you can volunteer your time, energy and talent to Adoption STAR. You can provide much needed clerical support here in our office. You can help wrap presents for our upcoming birth family holiday party.
