Last week the amazing women behind I Do Love Buffalo presented Adoption STAR with a check in support of LGBT adoption.
The Open House that Adoption STAR ran last week was a success on several fronts, but a real highlight was a check presentation by Heather Bellini and Soda Kuczkowski, the co-founders of I Do Love Buffalo. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the organization, I Do Love Buffalo is Western New York’s first and only event and wedding expo that’s specific to the LGBT community. Since it’s inception, I Do Love Buffalo has raised funds for LGBT-specific causes and organizations. Fortunately for Adoption STAR, we were chosen as the designee for all the funds the organization raised at their May 2015 event at Shea’s Performing Arts Center in Downtown Buffalo.
Heather and Soda presented Adoption STAR with a check for $4,000.00. The funds will be used to offset adoption-related expenses for LGBT adoptive parent clients of Adoption STAR. We are deeply grateful of the time, energy, and dedication that Heather and Soda have shown to the both the LGBT community. Adoption STAR knows that LGBT couples and individuals can provide safe, loving, nurturing homes for children in need of a “forever family;” we’re so pleased to have partnered with a like-minded organization like I Do Love Buffalo!
