Please consider making a contribution to our upcoming party for birth parents and their families.
Every December, Adoption STAR holds a Birth Family Holiday Party, and this year’s event will take place on Wednesday, December 16th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village, 3755 Tonawanda Creek Road, Amherst, NY 14228. The party is held to give donated toys to birth families who are parenting other children. It’s also an opportunity for the agency to provide support to any birth parents that are having difficulty “getting through” the holiday season. It’s typically a well-attended event, with numbers typically in the 50 to 75-person range.
Adoption STAR welcomes donated toys for distribution at the party itself, and/or gift cards to stores where toys or supplies for the party can be purchased.
Here is a list of needed items we’d welcome:
- Wrapping paper and wrapping supplies. (Volunteers are needed to wrap gifts on Tuesday, 12/15/2015 at 2pm!)
- Gift cards to Target, Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, etc.
- Gift cards to Tops, Wegmans, or Dash’s.
- New, unwrapped toys for boys and girls ages 8 years old to 12 years old.
